Dean+Claire Country Wedding

Claire and Dean got married at Coltsfoot Country Retreat , a small boutique Hotel in Hertfordshire. It was a beautiful day, the sun shone and with the warm company of their family and friends they tied the knot. We just adore these kind of love stories, a couple that has been together for many years, with kids and still on the wedding day you can see the sparkle on their eyes. Amazing.

Charlotte + Adam’s Wedding | Gibson Hall London

The gorgeous Charlotte and Adam were married at St Paul’s Hammersmith and went on to party at Gibson Hall. It was a very glamorous affair. We loved the cream tea that followed the service at St Paul’s supplied by Jam and Tea which added a little vintage feel to the day along with a couple of Route Master buses. Wedding season is full on and we have been busy the last few days! This barn wedding is coming soon to our blog! Maria and Sam you were fabulous and we loved every bit of it. It was one of the most vibrant and colourful weddings we have shot. We heart it!

Maria + Sam Wedding Tewin Bury Farm Barn

Last week we met with Dara and James on Jersey to shot their engagement images- This is a sneaky peek! We are very looking forward to shoot their wedding in two weeks! happy days!

Sophia + Robin wedding last saturday was so beautiful, simple and warm. Lovely weather for that weekend and you could feel the love in the air. This is another sneaky peek! They are in Thailand on honeymoon and on their return home they will find the good memories of an amazing day.

To all our couples we are wishing you all the best in your married life! Thank you for letting us be part of your day and please be aware that you not only got two photographers but two friends!

We met Maria and Sam on London’s South Bank for an engagement shoot on one of the hottest days of the year so far. We have wanted to shoot along the this stretch of the River for a while and were thrilled Maria and Sam were up for joining us for a walk. What better way to spend a January morning in London than with some fabulous company and yummy cake. We met Emily and James at the lovely Peggy Porschen Parlour in Belgravia for their engagement shoot. If you haven’t been then it’s a must as the cake is out of this world!

My Grandmothers Wedding Album

On a recent trip home I found my Grandmothers wedding album. As both my Grandmother and her husband have now passed away it goes without saying how important these images are. Turning the pages and viewing these photos for the first time was a wonderful experience. Instead of remembering my grandmother frail and old I was viewing the person she really was. Looking through the small album of images that my Grandmother and her husband had carefully selected it gave me an insight into what was important to them. The photograph of the harpist, the organist and the waiters in their 70′s bow ties all selected because they meant something special to them.

I’d like to share these with you as I know my Grandmother wouldn’t have minded but mainly because I feel it proves how important your wedding photography is. Choose wisely, select a photographer that you connect with and you admire. If you have a friend that is a photographer who can do it on the cheap then great but I’ve seen it ruin friendships and I would remind you of this one thing…. Your partner, the love you have for each other and the photographs are the only thing you get to keep after the wedding day. Your photographs should be a reflection of you both so when your long gone and future generations stumble across your wedding album they will treasure them as much as you do now.

Our aim as photographers is to create images for you that are treasured for future generations. It’s a huge responsibility and we feel honoured to be involved in such a process.

Thanks to my family for letting me share these images…especially my dad who seems to have inspired Borat in his 70′s get up!

A Wedding Amidst the Protesters at St Paul’s Cathedral London

Kerry and James had the great honour of being married at the OBE Chapel at St Paul’s Cathedral. Only award holders of the OBE and members of their family may be married in the chapel. It was a wonderful day and we love that Kerry wasn’t going to let a few protesters get in the way of her plans to have some pictures on the front steps. Congratulations to you both x

Sally and clifton’s Vintage Wedding at Century London

Sally and Clifton married at Century in Soho on the 10th September 2011 . The weather turned out beautiful and we were able to walk with Sally and her girls from the beautiful Dean Street Hotel to Century for the service and reception. I didn’t really have a theme to start with, I just went with what felt right and what would make us happy – we just wanted a really great party with only our closest family and friends and for it to be relaxed, informal and fun. So it ended up really personal and fortunately all the styling came together very nicely too. I wouldn’t call it rock n roll, but our outfits had a 1950s vintage vibe as I’ve always been drawn to that. I think I was really lucky with the people I hired to help too – they all really made a huge difference and all came to it with a very similar relaxed, personal, professional approach which made it easy. There were no outlandish over the top bridezilla moments (my best ladies made sure of that), nothing was over-organised so there was plenty room for spontaneity, and I didn’t go anywhere near any bridal magazines. And the result was that we loved every minute of it.

A big thank you to We Heart Pictures for doing such a brilliant job on the day – we loved the reportage style photos, Hector has an amazing eye for capturing personalities too, and were brilliantly unobtrusive which meant my very camera shy husband didn’t even notice and actually likes his pictures!
